Brasserie Sixty6 just started a weekly Jazz Brunch on Sundays at noon and we decided to check it out.
We were seated under a chandelier constructed from wine bottles...
...and surrounded by large pieces of modern art.We were one of the first to arrive for brunch (around 11:30 am) -- Dublin is not a city that wakes early on the weekend.
We started off with a mimosa. The strawberry garnish was a nice touch and the complimentary refill even better.
We started with an amazing goat's cheese tartlet surrounded by a bed of salad dressed in a light pesto.
We also tried the Brasserie Sixty6 meatballs which were also tasty but paled in comparison to the tartlet/salad. I think they needed more salt/seasoning.
The jazz musician arrived and started to play around noon. He had a lovely voice that reminded me of Randy Newman.
We chased our starters with something sweet and split the lemon ricotta pancake. It was huge and extremely tasty.
Before we knew it, the plate was completely devoured. To extend our jazz experience a bit longer, we opted for a cappuccino to close out our Sunday brunch experience.
I hope Brasserie Sixty6 continues this new tradition of jazz on Sundays. We'll definitely be back.
