I love Mexican food. There is no denying it. I was excited to by staying at the Clift Hotel across the street from Colibri. It was so convenient that I had guacamole and margaritas for dinner twice in a row :-)
My curiosity was piqued when I saw the bartender douse some hot peppers in liquor and light them on fire. These were a special ingredient for a 'macho margarita'.
When the flames went out, of course, I had to try one...
Voila! -- A jalapeno margarita. It definitely packed a punch. I think I like my margies the traditional way -- I prefer tart to hot in my evening beverage, but this was worth trying at least once.
