We took a walk in the Dublin Docklands south of the River Liffey and came across this wall of homage to Dublin-born U2. U2 was planning to erect a high rise recording studio near this site. Then the Celtic Tiger lost its roar and plans stalled. All that remains are the words written here.
It was a gorgeous evening and we could see the Dublin Wheel in the distance across the river. I was a big puzzled by these markings on the road -- PIG TRAP. Thank goodness for Google. I quickly learned that "pigging" is a term related to the maintenance of pipelines. Pigs are meant to help remove deposits from the pipe. I'm guessing the trap is where you get the pig out of the pipe. Surprisingly interesting stuff.
