From Bondi to Coogee - A Lengthy Sunday Stroll

I decided to take another mega-walk on Sunday but one that focused on different surroundings.  I took the bus to Bondi Beach and walked along the coast to Coogee.  Fluffy clouds appeared over the buildings at Bondi.

Before embarking on my harbour walk, I popped in to the Bondi Market
Held at a local school, I enjoyed these whimsical paintings on the wall near the tuck shop.

Bondi Beach offered breathtaking vistas.
...and edgy graffiti.

I saw this "monkey rock" on the path above Bondi Beach.  I thought it looked a bit like the head of a gorilla.

Fishermen tried their luck in the roiling surf.
Tamarama Beach is known for its beautiful people.  There were several frolicking an a volleyball court.
Next up, I passed Bronte Beach.
Once again, the signage was pretty stern:

Not only that, but the area was surrounded by barbed wire.  The authorities definitely mean business!
I chanced upon a quiet cemetery overlooking the ocean.
The path soon morphed into the Eastern Beaches Coastal Walk.
I detoured from the path to check out some of the cliffs overlooking the water.  I stayed a respectful distance from the edge given this sign.
Australia is home to some intimidating species.  I saw these mean looking spider strung out among some bushes.
Serious scuba divers made their way to the water.
Along the path, I saw this beautiful mosaic stairway and climbed to the top.
I was rewarded with another spectacular view of the nearby inlet.

Small aluminum row boats lined the path.
I finished traversing the trail and emerged in Coogee.  This lonely dog was resting in the shade near Dunningham Park.

I walked past the Beach Palace Hotel.  This sign invited me in "Come on, Have a beer!  You know you want to" Most definitely ;-)
I walked around in Coogee for a bit.  I stopped in for dessert at Garlo's Pies.
The mini-apricot pie was bite sized and delicious.
I took the bus back downtown.
I decided to extend my walk into Chinatown.
I also checked out Paddy's Markets.  These sugar coated chickpeas looked intriguing.  Unfortunately, they looked tastier than they actually were.
There were some fun sculptures in the vicinity.

I finished the day with a relaxing glass of wine while watching the sun set over Darling Harbour at Helm Bar.
Here's a quick peek at the route I covered -- another ten miles under my belt.
