Ah, Berlin...We finally made it! After our our Aer Lingus flight was cancelled due to a strike, we re-routed ourselves to start in Prague and end in Berlin keeping the Dresden/Leipzig portion of our trip intact. We had just a few hours in Berlin before our flight back to Dublin and as usual decided to make the most of it. We focused our exploration around Alexanderplatz.Folks were out in force after work (it was a bank holiday in Ireland but business-as-usual in Germany).
Rotes Rathaus, Berlin's town hall.
Nikolaiviertel. We could see the iconic church spire in the distance.
Brauhaus Georgbraeu shaded under a giant umbrella.
Metzer Eck is a good value-for-money locals' place in the neighborhood.
We managed to score the last table outside and were soon sipping away on another glass of beer in the sunshine.
