On our return from Oxford to London, we were reminiscing about the fun and fantastic energy on Brick Lane. We decided to do a reprise of our visit last year and head in that direction for a few hours before our flight back to Dublin. En route, we could see 'The Gherkin' peeking out from between older, more run down buildings.
Our first priority was getting something to eat. We were talked into Brick Lane Brasserie (surprisingly, an Indian restaurant) by a fast talking lad at the door. They were offering a starter, main, and rice or naan for just 7.95 GBP. Great value... Of course, the deal was set to expire in about 15 minutes so we had to act fast.
London Coffee Festival is held each year.
Beigel Bake. We are connoisseurs of New York bagels and were curious to try some in London.
We finished our stroll around Brick Lane near Truman Brewery and spotted a different kind of street art. This time, it was all three dimensional and looked like a Sci-Fi movie had descended on the neighborhood.
