We love visiting the Science Gallery. The exhibits add a liberal dash of art to works of science and make for a fascinating visit. It's also free (donations appreciated) which is a nice bonus. Recently, an exhibition called 'Fail Better' was on and my team at work decided to plan an excursion to see the exhibit to learn more about how to embrace failure and how it ultimately can help achieve wild success. We planned the visit for a Monday. Hmm...FAIL...the Science Gallery is closed on a Monday. We were not off to an auspicious start.
We rescheduled for a Tuesday and spent a good hour wandering around. We were confronted by a quote by Seth Godin.
Fail fast and cheap.
Fail often. Fail in a way
that doesn't kill you. --Seth Godin
There was a lonely printer hanging on the wall endlessly spitting out Tweets. Imagine if this was the way social media worked rather than with a smartphone!
"Once I rescued a baby hedgehog and fed it pancakes and milk. Turns out they're lactose intolerant. It died."
"I left the turkey on the kitchen table, set the oven, and cooked nothing. --Christmas 2002"
I added ours to the list as well and think it will be a great help to you, my dear readers...
"We tried to visit 'Fail Better' yesterday (Monday)...It was CLOSED :-("
