Ever since we moved to Europe 3.5 years ago, we take a trip for the holidays and immerse ourselves in a place, pretending that we are 'locals' for a couple weeks. For Christmas and New Year's Eve 2013 we visited Granada and Málaga, Spain. We touched down in Málaga airport and immediately boarded a bus from the city to Granada to spend Christmas. Here are some photos of our impressions of the place.
Granada reportedly has some of the purest water in Spain (run-off from the Sierra Nevadas). There are intriguing fountains all over town reminding us of this fact.
A small river flows through the center of the town. We followed the water to Plaza Nueva and looked up at inspiring views of the Alhambra, Spain's #1 tourist attraction.
