Getting from Dublin to Porto and back again is not the most convenient endeavor. Direct flights operated by Aer Lingus fly on certain days of the week but the schedule is not conducive to a weekend city break. We solved this problem but returning on Ryanair through Madrid. A side effect of this was that we had a four hour layover in Madrid. Madrid is one airport that Ryanair flies to that is actually convenient to the city. We decided to go for it and hop on the metro. We remembered from previous visits that the Alonso Martinez stop was conveniently located and not too far from the airport. We emerged from the station single-mindedly looking for beer and tapas.
Within minutes we found it at Cerveceria Cruz Blanca.
