After our safari and stop in Hermanus, we didn't think it would be possible for this trip to get any more awesome. We were wrong... We drove along South Africa's Whale Coast to Betty's Bay for an encounter with the penguin colony there.
We practically had the place to ourselves. We paid a small entrance fee (I think it was R20 or ~$2) and were admitted onto a scenic boardwalk.
The high speed mode on my camera combined with Google Plus' Auto Awesome feature made for some amazing shots.
We also had the opportunity to admire a flock of cormorants sunning themselves on a rock with huge waves crashing in the background.
We took a moment to admire the breathtaking misty views - an added bonus to our stop at Betty's Bay.
Even the road along the Whale Coast was awe-inspiring.
On to Cape Town! We were excited to see what the city had in store for us.
