Mountain View Eats

Once again, I stayed down on the Peninsula during the week on my latest business trip to San Francisco to avoid the grueling commute to and from the city.  As a result, I got to sample some of Mountain View's finest cuisine on my trip.  I started out at Fiesta del Mar.  This one was a classic when I was a graduate student with salsa that was blow-your-head-off spicy.  How could I resist coming here when they have a Dr J margarita on the menu?!
Chili colorado with black beans, rice, and tortillas really hit the spot.  I could eat Mexican food 3 times a day when I'm visiting California!
I loved Fiesta del Mar's colorful under the sea theme.
The next night, I had dinner at Amarin, a Thai restaurant in downtown Mountain View.
My curry (not pictured) left a bit to be desired as it wasn't spicy at all but these steamed wraps with trio of dipping sauces made up for it.
On my final night in town, I went back to Downtown Mountain View to Taqueria La Bamba.  The paintings on the wall aimed to tell a story about the Aztecs.
While the place was a bit of a dive, the burrito was tasty.
A must for a burrito shack, in my opinion, Taqueria La Bamba featured a self-service salsa bar.
Always great to be back in the Bay Area, even if it's down in the 'burbs.  Ole!
