For our last full day in Turkey, we set our sights on Ephesus. We boarded a train in Izmir bound for Selçuk. We passed Atatürk, the father of modern Turkey, emerging from the hillside in larger than life glory.
We debarked in Selçuk and were immediately confronted by the remains of a Roman aqueduct. We wound our way through town past the Sifa Baharat 'Spicy Shop'. Sounds good to me...
The produce market was on during our visit to town and we took some time to explore and steep in the bright scents and colors.
We emerged from the market at a lavishly decorated round-a-bout and sought transit up to Ephesus.
