We watched the slow ferry depart back to Como and then turned our attention toward land.
Bellagio sits on a hill and many of the streets climb up steep staircases. The narrow cobbled lanes of Bellagio were quite charming.
We stopped for a snack at Cava Turacciolo.
A crate of enticing Italian wines sat right outside the entrance.
Inside, we sat down at a cozy table nestled among bottles of vino.
Italian ham hung from the ceiling.
We had a cheese plate with honey accompanied by a glass of red wine -- perfecto!
We continued our walk outside.
We made our way to the shore. I was impressed by the crystal clear water. I could even see fish swimming in the sea.
The fog never quite lifted but the view was still amazing and calm.
We turned inland again. I spotted this motorcycle down a deserted alley and it made me smile.
We discovered that the ferries run less frequently in the Fall. There was no 3 pm boat as we'd anticipated. With another 2 hours to kill, we decided to sit down for lunch at Trattoria La Lanterna. After filling up on Bellagio's finest offerings, we made our way back to the dock and rode the fast ferry back to Como.
We took the opportunity to view Como after dark. The town was bustling with activity.
After a long and fruitful day exploring, we took the train back to Milan and called it a night.
