We walked downtown today to check out the San Francisco No Pants Subway Ride. Hundreds of people participated despite the chilly temperatures (<50 F). Crowds of people emerged from the Embarcadero BART station at around 2:15 pm, marched up the stairs and out into the streets of San Francisco.
There was even mainstream media coverage.
We went for lunch at Lori's Diner after the event. Apparently the "No Shirts, No Shoes, No Service" rule doesn't apply to "No Pants".
The No Pants Subway Ride was quite the spectacle...Thanks Improv Everywhere for giving people an excuse to let it all hang out!
Good thing it wasn't in Helsinki! The temperature here has been around -5 to -10 degrees F lately. There's no way I could manage without pants in this weather. If there's wind, too, I even need TWO pairs of pants!
ReplyDeleteyou didn't participate?
ReplyDeleteOh how I miss San Francisco. *sniff*

ReplyDelete@Haddock. Why w/o pants? Ask Improv Everywhere: http://improveverywhere.com/ They orchestrated the event.
