In Search of Sour Gummy Santas

We decided to try and indulge one last time in one of our favorite holiday treats -- sour gummy santas. I LOVE gummy candy and there is just something special about these jubes. They had them at The Candy Store in Russian Hill before the holidays. The Candy Store has a great selection of classic candies like all-day suckers, Chuckles, and French Chews (I'd never heard of this one until someone at work was reminiscing about them from her childhood...)

We passed this imaginative sign at the Russian Hill Bookstore on Polk St. while en route. "Father Time says it's time to get a new calendar...We have them."

We also passed this jaunty statue at a french-inspired antique store (Antique Visions).

We soon arrived at our destination on Vallejo near Polk.

Success! All the Christmas candy had been put away, but sure enough, when we asked, they were able to sell us some from their secret post-holiday stash.
